Overview

The Thalassemia International Federation (TIF) and Medscape Education Global invite you to elevate your thalassemia expertise at this immersive 2-day masterclass designed for both experienced physicians and physicians in training across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Day 1 launches with interactive case presentations and expert commentaries, followed by deep-dive explorations of real patient journeys spanning the thalassemia spectrum from non-transfusion-dependent (NTDT) to transfusion-dependent (TDT), including gene therapy considerations. Experience powerful patient perspectives that bring clinical decisions to life.

Day 2 begins with authentic patient narratives, then addresses critical topics: managing morbidity and mortality, optimizing iron overload strategies, and navigating the crucial transition from pediatric to adult care. Discover how to integrate novel therapies into your practice through expert-led sessions and small-group discussions.

The program concludes with proven thalassemia prevention strategies that deliver measurable public health impact. This comprehensive experience combines cutting-edge science, practical implementation strategies, and meaningful patient engagement to transform your clinical practice.

IMPORTANT: In light of the current unrest in the Middle East and the evolving regional situation, this masterclass is postponed until further notice. The safety and well-being of all participants, faculty, and partners involved in the programme is of the utmost importance. In case you have sent an application to participate in this event, you will be contacted by separate email. We sincerely appreciate your understanding!
