Co-chaired by Dr. Andrew F. Alexis and Dr. Eliot F. Battle, this dynamic, case-based virtual symposium brings together leading experts in dermatology to spotlight the expanding role of targeted therapies in managing dermatologic conditions in patients with skin of color.
Through real-world clinical scenarios and evidence-based insights, faculty will explore JAK inhibitors, biologics, oral small molecule agents, and emerging therapies—including oral peptides—across a wide spectrum of inflammatory skin diseases. The discussions will emphasize

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
As a result of participating in this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Differentiate skin color classification systems to categorize common skin disorders and cutaneous diseases in patients with skin of color.
- Evaluate key differences in the skin structure and how it relates to diagnosing and treating common ethnic skin disorders such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and prurigo nodularis.
- Identify clinical and diagnostic tools and devices utilized in the diagnosis and management of skin disorders for patients with skin of color.
