Expert faculty will focus on the important pillars related to the comprehensive and holistic care of patients with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), including disease-centered care, treatment-related considerations, and prioritizing patient-centered care. Faculty will expand on the mechanism of the disease and its causes, and the importance of a holistic approach. Presentations will revolve around the importance of defining clinical features and diagnostic criteria that are critical to diagnosis and treatment planning. A collaborative panel discussion will include insights into efficacy and safety data on current treatment options, choosing the best option for patients, and managing adverse events. In addition, the importance of patient perspectives and the caregiver’s roles will be discussed and how they can be integrated into collaborative decision-making.
