Living Well With Diffuse Lower-Grade Glioma
Strategies for Improving Patient Quality of Life in the Theatre and Beyond
Three pioneers in awake brain surgery, in collaboration with a person living with diffuse low-grade glioma (LGG), will take the audience on a 60-minute journey, from first consultation to the theatre, and beyond. After an update on current and emerging strategies for the management of lower-grade gliomas, key insights on how to optimize tumor resection while preserving patients’ neurological function will be shared. Taking a deeper dive into the brain, the audience will then discover pathways of neuroplasticity that can be harnessed to improve patients’ recovery and long-term quality of life – all hung off the backdrop of the lived experience of a real person living with diffuse LGG, and their thoughts for the future.
Join us for this simply unmissable and unique symposium on the management of patients living with diffuse lower-grade gliomas – designed to encourage the exchange of ideas between leaders in the field and attendees.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to recognize the clinical, surgical, and patient factors that play a role in the post-operative quality of life (QOL) of patients with diffuse glioma and to develop comprehensive pre-, peri-, and post-operative strategies toward improving QOL outcomes. Learners will also gain more awareness of emerging systemic therapies and where they may be utilized in the management of lower-grade gliomas in the future.
This activity is intended for a global audience (US and non-US) of neurosurgeons, neuro-oncologists, medical oncologists, radiation-oncologists, and the rest of the care team working in the management of diffuse gliomas.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will:
Have increased knowledge regarding
Have greater competence related to
