OVERVIEW
The patient’s subjective view of their own health is of increasing focus when selecting therapy and discussing treatment goals in major depressive disorder (MDD), schizophrenia and beyond. Patient ‘life engagement’ is an emerging concept that encompasses positive health aspects relating to cognition, vitality, motivation and reward, and the ability to feel pleasure. Treatment strategies that support improvement of these key health aspects have the potential to provide patients with meaningful and positive changes in their overall sense of well-being and quality of life. This three-hour interactive event will explore life engagement from a patient’s perspective and focus on treatment outcomes beyond symptom control.
